AV - change in rankings

Anyone else noticing a change in the rankings from yesterday?

pete, I only had one actual ranking change (by 2 places,no biggie) - all the rest have stayed exactly the same as when I checked two days ago, although I noticed that there was a bit of a change in the sites appearing alongside.

But there have definitely been changes in the number of pages found for each of the search terms I checked on.

One 3 word search with 2,583,625 went to 3,324,240 pages found this morning. With a 2 word search, (same phrase, first word truncated) it went from 1,978,405 to 2,674,330 pages found. I thought there might be a lot of irrelevancy, but even checking page 20 of results, the same relevant products were appearing.

This is one single test page I have in a subdirectory, 3 links out, one to the lady's main site, no links back in, and it's been sitting at AV since early August - in fact, just moved up recently (to #3, and I cannot for the life of me figure this one out).

All the other 2,3 and 4 word phrases I checked stayed stable (except the one) but there were corresponding increases in the number of pages found.

No doubt there has been a change - I jotted down all the numbers a couple of days ago, so making comparison was easy.

Pretty much the same here.

Although on some of my key terms, there has been a clean out - some of the pages that have ranked well have dropped substantially.
