I have done a paid inclusion through Inktomi whcih tells me that I would have my site submitted to these search engines I can find my site url but when I type in a key phrase it will not show up. My report says my site is not spidered but it looks like its listed in MSN. Does this mean that when I'm listed in MSN or HOtbot that my site is not necessarily crawled? Does that take alittles longer. I have all the meta tags on my site that you need.

If you paid for inclusion at Inktomi, they should be crawling your site regularly. If not, something is not right. Go back to Inktomi and be sure you spelled your url correctly! And look at the Terms of Service, it will show an approximation of how often they crawl ((I think it is every 48 to 72 hours).
As for typing in your keyword phrase and it not showing up, you are competing with others. What search engine are you using? If possible, set the number of search results listed per page to the maximum. Then, use your "Find" command on your browser and look for "yoursite.com". This tells you very quickly if your site is listed on that page. Keep doing this until you come to your site.

My site is on there and under those key phrases butI'm like last on the list I've done all the necessary things to optimize my site I'm trying to get it top ranked on MSN and hotbot its being ranked well on google but MSN dunno why?
