Inspired by Google's toolbar, Overture announced the rollout of the Altavista Toolbar.
[internetnews.com...] for more info, or [altavista.com...] for the toolbar.

Overture hopes AltaVista can tap into its own specialties, such as Babel Fish translation and audio-video search. Babel Fish can translate Web pages into 10 languages, including all major European languages, Japanese, Russian and Korean. AltaVista also boasts the largest multimedia collection, with over 550 million image, audio and video files.

Hmm..

Isn't that highlight button very like the Google highlight button... I know there's only so many ways you can make a highlight button, but even so...

About time they brought out something like this.
The translate option would be pretty handy .. seems packed full of options to play around with.

I think Google Toolbar is better than AV toolbar. Because: PageRank , Options , You can search in different searches of Google (for eg: Google Image) and the Popup Blocker is better than Alta Vista's

Hmmm, might have to invest in a higher res monitor to allow me to devote the upper half of IE to toolbars... ;)

The Lookup Toolbox drop-down helps you look up Area Codes, Calculations, Conversions, Exchange Rates, Dictionary terms, Global Time, Weather and ZIP Codes.

That's pretty handy. Does everything but shake my cocktail in the morning.

Uhh, I mean make my soy shake in the morning...
