That's been there for a while....why would Yahoo so quickly (and before the deal is fully gone through) switch technologies, when they've had INK for a few months, and still haven't implemented that on their SERP?

;) Perhaps you could expatiate a bit for the rest of us?

* AltaVista was once the secondary "search engine for Yahoo!

* Inktomi replaced AV as the secondary search engine for Yahoo!

* Google replaced Ink as the secondary search engine for Yahoo!

* Google became the default search engine for Yahoo!

* AllTheWeb is now the only "property" that has not had a Yahoo! relationship

There MUST have been a compelling reason for Yahoo! to make the above changes - especially the change of it's default service - they could have potentially lost many of their "paying" submisions...

The next strategy Yahoo! takes will emcompass a great deal of analysis and possibly experimentation...

The three month "head start" that Inktomi has may NOT be prioritize considering WHAT IS AT STAKE...
