Is there anyway to contact Inktomi to determine why a site has disappeared from serps?
Thanks

I doubt it, if you're not paying for inclusion. I'd say be patient - as long as you're not banned for some reason, the listing may come back eventually.

I did pay for inclusion. My site has been at the top of the Inktomi serps for over a year. Vanished. LOL
I have seen this happen in the past, so maybe it will come back.

Ah, in that case the company you're paying through definitely should be able to help you.

No they won't, unless "disappeared" means the URL is not listed at all. If you went from third to 758 the PFI folks won't help at all.

There must have been some glitch, or my site was down when Inktomi tried to crawl. No spam, so no reason for penalty. I didn't get that much traffic from Inktomi considering a lot of my hits through MSN came from my L$ listing anyways. So, no big loss, I suppose.

Well yeah, I assumed disappeared really meant disappeared. Try searching for your url on Hotbot.

Well...after some emails to Inktomi, my site reappeared today. Not sure what happened. It has been listed and at the top of the serps for over a year...then gone. But after a week, of being gone, it is back.
