Well I might have painted myself into a corner. New domain name for our business. (this one with keyword included) New site, optimized to the best of my ability for Altavista. Joined the Buddy Links program. Submitted to altavista on the 29th of Feb with the hopes of getting a decent listing, then phasing out the old site. No listing as of today. Another site I have submitted since then,(not relatd) is already listed on AV. So I plugged in the "new" URL in altavista search and up comes my old site. No real similairities between the two domain names. This raised a red flag for me. I'm still learning this business so I have no idea what this means. I certainly don't want to upset Altavista. Can't afford it. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

Thank you for asking. At least now when I plug the URL into Alta it comes up with the right site, and it's got 10 listings, none of em very good and no doorways. This is the same site that I'm having a problem with on Google. 4 days now and I still get one data base one time and another the next and a blank in GooHoo. I think it may be because both sites were listed and the old one had decent rankings also. I have a robots.txt file to keep the old site out of Google, however it was ignored. Now I'm probably banned. The only good part about this weird adventure is that my wife and I are still buried with work from the last round of great listings on Google and GooHoo. At least that will take us through the Holidays. After that perhaps a dishwashing gig in a good restaurant?
Thanks again for your interest.
