I have never paid for a inclusion in a SE, but I have maybe 1-2% hits from MSN but that must be the web site section, if I pay for it then I would be placed in the main categorie right?, right now I get about 400.000 unique visits a month mostly from Yahoo, Google and Altavista, how much could I expect from MSN do they get alot of hits or is it like Altavista.

No, web directory is L$ at 15 cents per click. However, MSN can be a pretty huge provider (20-25%) of traffic if you get it right.

Zeus

The web directory stuff is from Looksmart.

Inktomi comes under the 'web pages' section

Inktomi is worth it where your key target phrases are do not have the top positions taken over by web directory entries.

Well I rank well with Google/Yahoo, Altavista, but MSN Im first ranked after the web directories and on web site page 5, thats not good, but you say that I have to pay per click to be in the directory of MSN, I just thought you pay one time or per year and then you will be spidered for the directory listing.

thanks

I think the directory listings come first and then inktomi spidered web pages. Paying per URL per year to Inktomi only guarantees frequent spidering and not ranking. Hope that clarifies
