New Altavista crashes my computer

Anyone else with this problem?

The new Altavista keeps crashing my computer. I'm based in Germany, and if I search for sites in Germany only there is no problem at all. But if I do a world wide search my Windows Explorer crashes every time. I'm using Windows ME and IE6. Anyone else with the same problem?

Yep, from Denmark

both on altavista.com (IP recognition of DK) and altavista.de, one second after the serp comes up MSIE shuts down. Win2K, MSIE 5,5.

>waht are the queries?

If we could keep specific search terms to stickymail that would be best.

BTW welcome to WebmasterWorld harti.

<added> At dk the Denmark + All languages option seems to almost crash me [Linux Mozilla]. There is a flash ad for MSN messanger, maybe this is the problem.

Are all the other crashes also on Linux or a Unix based system?

Search term: any.
Just tried again, and it crashes me whatever I search, either just german or world wide sites. Tried the same with Netscape 7.0. No problem at all...
Flash shouldn't be a problem, at least it never has been one on my computer.

Using Opera, (to stay on the safe side) I noticed a little difference in top of page JavaScripts between altavista.com and de.altavista.com.
