We have many clients in the "Trusted Feed" XML program, so even with AV's diminished market share, we still receive a decent volume of clicks.
After verifying our system was operating correctly, we began to analyze the link that routes the search user through AV's system after they click.
We soon realized, that AV had a glitch, and the link was incorrect. AV was routing through their system so they could bill us, but then the search user was routed directly to "our" end client's URL. They are supposed to route through our system first, so we can bill the "End Client".. :(
We reported the problem to AV around 11:30AM CST, and they did have the link correct in the SERP's by 2PM CST :)
But, they were completely unaware of the "glitch"...
This only affected Trusted Feed XML feeds, that use the "LinkTo" element. But I imagine that most SEM partners are routing traffic through their system, using this XML element.
