then autosubmit ...trouble
then finally smart crawlers.
...then I read someones post wishing for a url registration service that just put you everywhere.
Picking up Fast was a very smart move. AV next? Would a PT/Yahoo,Looksmart deal be out of the question?
Why can't I just enter a seed url or a url pointing to my list of urls and my website grabed or crawled and displayed on a page where I just check which eng/dir they are entered into ...write 1 check.
I wish.
I hope they can do it. Any thoughts on this? If so, what if you got banned at PT? Should we want this to happen? Why shouldn't PT be the industry leader, so to speak, in this area. It does simplify many things, but puts a lot of power in the hands of one business and probably must be left open to competition similarly to domain registration.
... just thinking too much
AV and Ask are on the trusted feed/cost per click model. I was more interested in the direct submit service... What I would hope for is a place to register a/many urls in all engines/dir and pay 1 check, without worry of future billing concerns if someone actually clicked my link. Currently the 'Direct Submit' service is way too high priced for large domains, but I think things will scale down as this type of service is more widely used and they bring on more search service partners. I would just hope for some good competition to keep everyone honest.
Mayor,
I know that... ;)
But, in the future I see this as a possiblity if this type of way into search engines becomes the standard route. If you spam all engines, then it is simply easier to turn you off at the source...
