Are INK partner sites (MSN) automatically updated?

If I pay for inclusion when will I see it in MSN?

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of investing in an paid INK inclusion and wanted to know if the inclusion will show up immediately in MSN or if they only update there INK DB occasionally?

Reason being: I want to experiment in the month that you are allowed to change the url of the included page to see what works best for me...

Any comments...?

Nick, I've got a paid page that hasn't been updated by them in over a month. I've got a new page that needs to be in there, and I won't until I see some sign of updating, which I haven't in quite a while.

Nick, that information isn't available with the hosting that site has, and there's nothing I can do about it.

I inherited the pages that were bought through bCentral so I'll probably log on to their live support this coming weekend for a little discussion. Spidering does nothing without updates anyway.

Nick,

My experience has always been that if you pay for inclusion ( Position Tech ), it's in the MSN search within 2 days.

Hope this helps.

Nick, I just paid to submit a page two days ago through Position Tech, listed in Ink and MSN within two days. Also, Slurp spider has been coming by every other day. Hope this info helps.

Ditto on Position Tech ... 2-3 days after paid submission MSN traffic starts coming.

But now that AOL has switched from using Inktomi to using Google I'm seeing about a 20-30% drop in overall traffic from the Inktomi paid inclusion program.

Inclusion, spidering and updating are three differnet things. If I am reading Marcia right she is saying she is included and she is being spidered, she's just not getting updated.

We saw INK's fall from grace over a year ago and dropped the like a hot potato in favor of Google. As a result the AOL switch gave us a huge surge in traffic and what comes with it...
