Are Ink agents in on site banning?

We have BANNED sites with many pages that have expired which we did not renew.

We have other sites with many pages that have expired which we did not renew.

When we view all of our listings on the account there is a message "renew subscription" in place of the refresh date on selected expired pages. This message ONLY APPEARS against expired pages on the NON-BANNED sites. The message DOES NOT appear against expired pages of the BANNED sites.

Does anyone think that Inktomi provides a list of banned sites to the agent so the agent doesn't ask for them to be renewed?

If not, how does the agent know which sites were banned and which ones were not? Unless, of course, they had something to do with banning them in the first place.

This may explain a lot to us. We have pages with one agent that got banned and pages of identical construction with another agent that didn't.

Search/Submit partners are unaware of which URLs Inktomi has taken action on. It would be pure coincidence that a "renew subscription" would display for a "BANNED" site. Partners do not have any interaction with Inktomi in the enforcement of their spam policy.

Goes with what I've seen. I've only ever had 1 site in INK banned (my fault - I tried a spam generator as a test). I put it through an INK partner I don't normally use (via a different e-mail etc.) and watched the site 'tank and die' - forgot about it and still got a renewal message (and it is still there, even though the pages are not). I've had a couple of sites get a penalty and switched them off through the partner with no renewal notice.
