Altavista Listing Enhancements

Does anyone use the Altavista Listing Enhancements in their Pay for inclusion program?

I previously signed up for the 6 month pay for inclusion program. I dropped it when it expired, because my listings were WAY DOWN the serps.

I would be interested to know if AV puts the listings with Enhancements (Logos, Icons, etc.) at the top of the serps.
It would be pretty stupid to pay for them if they put you in position # 468 or something.

Anyone use these ???

I don't use them... but it is my understanding that they will not help rank you higher..

They're only real purpose is to help incrase your click through rate...

i;ve got all the enhancements on one of my sites, but after being top for several keywords we totally dissapeared down past 100...

in the last few weeks we are back at the top... i don't imagine it helps whatsoever..

We've done the paid inclusion and have received extremely poor results, it seems to have no bearing in your placement. Well at list after they entered the deal with Overture.
There was a time just after we submitted we were right on top, but now were are now place to be found. Same thing with Lycos.

Did you pay Lycos for your inclusion?

I paid them and I am not showing up at all. If I do a Lycos search for a certain URL, then it shows up. But if i search for ANYTHING on the specific page, I don't show up. I can go all the way through the results and not find my site.

I can even type in the exact title of the site and it won't show up. Every time I talk to Lycos, they just tell me that my site has been included in their index and they give me a link to search for the URL. And yes, it shows up searching for the URL, but that's THE ONLY WAY it will show up.

I just spent over $300 for 26 URL's and feeling a bit scammed.
