One of our sites was dumped out of Altavista for no apparent reason recently. Our attempts to contact AV went unanswered. Should we pay to have it included now? Burns me up that this site was in the database since 1998 and now I have to pay for its inclusion. We have tried reentering it via the free submit but it's a no-go.

I would not pay for it
because i think we be hitting real hard from AV spiders and they have been faster this time so i would wait a few weeks before i pay.

It has been at least a couple of months since this site dropped out and we resubmitted via the ransom note method. The customer service for SE's these days <aside from Google> stinks.

My experiences with AV have been excellent and the Basic (FREE) Submit had me in the database in under two week.

I have very good experience with free submit it have taken a few weeks to get listed. There is alot of threads about this and i think there is alot of negative info with pay AV to be in.

So I've heard from others which makes me wonder why this non profit site about gardening got the boot in the first place. Seems we can't get an answer nor can we get it back in the system.
