Can you still get into AV with the free submissions? If so, how long does it take for them to crawl the site? I had a site that ranks very highly in many other SE's that got dropped from AV about 6 months ago for some unknown reason. It is a non-profit site, employs no real spam techniques and has quality content that is updated on a regular basis.

I have not been able to find out why it was dropped. AV does not answer my emails. Anyone have an email address that would help me? I assume I am going to have to pay to submit to get this site back in the database...

AV does still do free submittions and as long as your patient I have never had any trouble. I resubmit every two months if my page doesn't show. I have only ever had to resubmit tice though. First or second times are charms.

I just checked and as of today they have included a new site of mine that I submitted via their free submission. They did this within one month...this is the fastest I have seen. Hopefully they will continue this.

Yep, you should get in there in about 3-4 weeks after submitting.

I remember, not even 2 years ago, AV indexed within a week. Does anyone remember how fast was Infoseek?

What about a site that was already in the database but was booted for some reason?

They're showing new title and description for a site from only a couple of weeks ago.

AV has included a new site that I submitted via their free submission about two months ago.

Hi,

Is is necessary to submit all the pages one at a time or will the av spider index from just the top level pages?

paulclarke,
you need to submit each page to AV.

Their free submit will let you submit up to 5 pages after you enter their "ransom note" code. That's the code designed to foil auto submitters. But their instructions will tell you it's fine to enter 5 pages, enter a new code do 5 more pages & so on.
