I opened a search submit acct. with PositionTech.
When I submit my URL, how long is it before my site is "findable" thru searches?
Also, does it vary according to the partner (MSN, etc.) or is it an all at once thing?
Basically, how long before I will see results?

84 hours to appear in MSN and the likes.
I know a guy who did it in 83 hours and 45 minutes ;)

It'll take what time you've been told to get into the database, about 2-3 days, but the Ink partners update with the data according to their own schedules so those can take longer.
The general consensus is that pages will appear at MSN first, but the Ink listings are somewhat buried if there are a lot of PPC and Looksmart directory listings first. Still, MSN is the best of the partner sites to check first.
AOL is a little erratic, but with a new page submitted last week, I didn't check daily but it showed at both within a week.
There are also different ranking criteria applied at different partner sites. Here's the link to the Inktomi pure search [169.207.238.189], where pages will show when they're included, before showing at the partner sites generally.
