Link Pop in Ink

I submitted 3 pages about 7 months ago to INK and ranking hovered at about #6-10 for my keywords. All of the pages linked to the index page,although i never submitted the index page. About 1 month after i submitted the first pages my index page started showing #1 for all my keywords. So is inks algo somewhat dependant on link popularity? If so any one have any opinion as to how much so?

The PFI pages will not follow links and if your index page is ranking I would presume this was because you submitted that to ink.

I've found for sometime getting the index page in doesn’t require too much effort; the trick comes when trying to get the site into the BOW
