WPG suggests that having a lot of text on the page is a positive factor (how keyword density fits into this I don't know).
ANY IDEAS? This is the only one I don't seem to be able to crack.
Other pages which haven't had the text cut down are on page 1 for Ink sites so I am wondering if this is a factor.
Might have to optimize another version of the home page for Ink but not quite sure of the best way to do that.
My reflection on keyword density was that it would get lower if I added more text to the page (which is what WPG suggests might help).
I can't figure out the distinguishing factor that gets me to the top of Google and Fast but keeps me stuck on page 5 for Inktomi.
What is the trick with Inktomi? (my keyword density is high for my title and description).
Not much point in making a doorway page if I don't know how to optimize it!
It's a strange beast. I've long suspected there was a sliding density scale in the algo. Seems the more competitive the higher the density can be. Just my observation though.
Title tag is the king. Meta description is the queen. Text on the doorway page should include every combo of the keyword phrases in plural and mispelling form as well.
Index pages that rank well in Google seem to well in INK too. But optimize the page for Google and use doorways for INK.
I look at Ink as an advertising engine. Not like Goverture is but close. You have a pretty fair shot at some targeted traffic within a few days.
