Hello Everyone,

In the last weeks, I dropped a lot in ranking. Before I was position 1 for a search term. Now, I'm position 16 ! All results before me are NON paid pages. I tried to optimize my paid pages (I have 2 sites in the same situation) with no luck.

So my question is: Does Inktomi give preference to "free" pages over paid ones ??

Anyone also saw this ?! Anyone dropped in ranking ?!

P.S. The positions are from a pure Inktomi search engine.

Hi GoInkGo,

A warm welcome to wmw.

I've not seen any changes feeding through yet, however, it may just be a database update and change in algo.

Have you seen any new pages of updated pages appearing?

You've often got to give a few days for the db to settle across all the servers.
