the 48 hour refresh is fake

For some silly reason, I thought that perhaps paying Ink for a few pages on a domain which wasn't in their DB was a good idea.

Then I noticed that it had been 3 days since they respidered the pages, and today, I noticed that the partner whom I paid shows an updated date a day before they could have been updated (unless they weren't showing the data).

So, either the ink partner is giving out fake update dates, or ink isn't living up to the promised 48 hour refresh. If we can't get the service we expected, we'll drop the program, and cruise over to Overture. At least they have customer service, and live up to what you pay for. Has anybody else experienced fishy 'updates' that weren't like this before?

I've benn waiting almost 3 weeks now for most of my pages to update. I just figured it was because of the mass influx of new pages while they were "on sale".

It's time to get back to normal.

So have either of you received an email from Ink saying that your account will be credited? I'm pretty sure the agreement is for spidering every 48 hours for twelve months. It seems like someone owes you a few crawls.

This time, it's even worse. The partner who I paid says the pages were last crawled on the 1st...today is the 5th. That's two extra crawls they owe me...

On their behalf, I will say I got an email from them, however, that isn't fixing the problem, which is what I expect.

At this point, I've only recommened paying Ink to two companies I work with...and I'm not telling anybody else to pay them with such poor service. 48 refresh? Ha!

Too funny. I just logged back into the account, and now it says it was updated on the 3rd.

I wish I would have taken a screen shot to email them...

This is really sad. Are they so far gone they don't even care that you are a paying customer???

And then I logged in a minute ago to check on another Inktomi account, for another company. [big]3 days since the pages were updated[/big]

Forget 'em. Not even worth it anymore.

I had several pages that did not show a respider in the report but they had been updated in the database. makes me question if it is a spidering issue or a reporting issue.

From what I've heard 72 hours is the norm for pages in the pay option...
