Well, not quite the meaning of life, but a reasonably large enough problem.

Did'nt make it to Ink, or least so it seems, the only pages listed are the two LS.com partner listings, though i did try canada, anzwers and hotbot.

Started looking at inks partners, and i have to say impressive, as it stands. GO, overture, MSN and LS to name a few. The LS ransoms that i splashed out for had a great benefit for x-amount of kw's, BUT, their a few hundred more that i would'nt mind seeing up at the top of inks feeds to its partners. The pages containing the kw's would not have a problem scoring #1's for them all, however if i were to PT $0000 on a small site to get the result which would be 4 times all the fiscal investments towards this sites rankings.

I really do not want to fork it out, and the benefits of it, are somewhat questionable.

So, has anybody had all their sites pages listed, after submitting to what ever free channels, after April 2001 ?

The site does get heavily crawled by Ink, but only the two LS express pages, get listed, is this a Ink trick to say well we will crawl you, but if you can afford to LS, then you can afford to PT - penalised so to say, or is just my imagination ?

caine,

It took me a long time to come to terms with paying for what was free at one time. I get paid for what I do - INKTOMI has the same rights. Your decision is the value for your site(s) and can you profit after paying for inclusion - but rest assured there appears to be no more free ways in.

stcrim,

I've come to that ugly conclusion myself, and i will just have to deeply immerse myself in the returns from the LS listings that i can quantify. Deep down i think it would be worth it, but i will give myself a week to decide, as i would rather spend the money on future developments for the company.

Anyone having any luck with the GOO route.

I submitted to GOO and got in, but its not translated to the Inktomi database.

Is the door closed now?

hi 4,

Site gets reguarly crawled by Goo, and lists extremly well with them. So i don't think that is a free backdoor.

Forget Goo - you are wasting your time.
