Anyone notice Hotbot has updated the look on their Serps? You now have to scroll for results. However, they added WiseNut/Teoma/Altavista/Infoseek style "related searches".

I don't know whether Hotbot has a higher profile over the pond, but in the UK I'm lucky if I get a handful of referrals from Hotbot.

Also, they seem to have taken away the dates of when the page had been indexed. That's how I was verifying pages that were in the BOW index. Is there another way to do this?

2_much, [hotbot.lycos.nl...] shows date (and filesize) with every search.
You can also sort on date, click the button 'geavanceerd zoeken' (advanced search)and set the date in the box 'periode' (time frame).
Where 'na' means 'after' and 'voor' meaning 'before'.
Select 'Rangschik resultaten op: datum' (sort results by date).

A little off topic...Looking through the dutch help pages I found some search syntaxes I didn't know existed. Maybe it's old news to some but this works both in the dutch and international version, although they are only mentioned on the dutch pages i think:

linkdomain:[domain] to get all the incoming links from a domain, instead of url
linkextension:[extension_value] to get all sites linking to pages containing this extension
outgoingurltype:[url_type]to get sites linking to a certain mime type (ie. outgoingurltype:image/jpeg)

The dutch help pages also show more syntax examples for their feature:something options.

I think it gone from the .com version 2_much. I don't see anyway to turn it back on.
