Inktomi paid inclusion listing disappeared

Will my listing reappear?

I paid for an inclusion on Inktomi and this resulted in very good results on MSN etc. Then my server had a problem and was offline for a while (24 hours). Now I've lost my listing and this has had a disaterous effect.

My question is will my listing come back? Inktomi claim a 48 hour refresh but so far I still can't find the listing and its now a week since the problem arose.

If my listing does not come back this may be a warning for others. Make sure you are on a stable server.

Any help or advice would be very gratefully received.

Your only recourse is to contact whoever you got the url listed with.

I had a very similar situation last month and lost all my rankings during the time my host server was down, the pages were re-spidered during the normal time frame and results reappeared within the ink partners.

So unfortunately all you can do is wait and your results should start to show again

I had a same experience as Tigger.

One of my clients' sites went down for approx 4 days due to the recent virus.

Once online again, my Ink rankings reappeared in approx. 2-3 days.

You may want to slightly 'tweak' your pages so that they show a most recent date and wait for the Ink refresh to take effect.

A major disadvantage to the 48hr refresh service, if the sites down you will loose your rankings till the next refresh
