Are there any Inktomi Partners left?

Last call, smoke em if you got em.

Is there an Inktomi stop on the planet that doesn't have Goto, Direct Hit, Directories, or other forms of non Inktomi results?

Hotbot uk still clean.
Canada?
Also, I thought Anzwers was too, but it's down at the minute so I can't check.

Canada.com has been working in those featured links (currently separated) into the top results during a test phase. Anzwers was offline (again for the 10th time in the last week) and are using Goto results - separate, but for how long).

Hotbot Uk is not using Directhit? (btw: this is a very very interesting version of Hotbot...if you haven't checked out [hotbot.co.uk...] go do so - subtle, but powerful differences.)

HotBot UK is just Inktomi (no DH influence at all) and another one to look at is [aol.co.uk...] which does not have any ODP influence but pure Ink listings coming up on a search first.

On a test search I've been running, both UK sites return results that look just like results I've gotten from Canada.com and ICQit, which are supposed to be clean Inktomi.

Compared to HotBot and MSN, these results are either very old, or else the database is smaller... not listing a site that HB and MSN have listed for a month or so.

ICQ it is back to clean results again? I've not heard anyone mention them lately. I used to use them all the time, and then they started with DH for a bit, and then working in ODP. Thanks RC.

For the most part it seems like Ink is good for targeting non-competitive keywords that are not filled with directory results on say AOL or MSN. Everywhere else (save a few mentioned here) just relegates Ink to supplemental results that are for the most part buried. We are getting fewer and fewer data sources supplying the results to more and more of the existing engines...I think that's bad.

>>ICQ it is back to clean results again?<<

Not exactly.... the ICQit results that follow the directory results, I should have said, look like the UK and Canada results. As Skibum indicated, these can be way on the back page (back there with the shipping news) for competitive searches.

More detailed posting on this thread [webmasterworld.com] about getting undiluted Inktomi rankings.

Hotbot Germany [hotbot.lycos.de]uses only INK results. But I should admit that nobody use hotbot.de in Germany for searching...
