Altavista submit policies

only root page is enough

Hello,
Does anyone knows if it's enough submit only the root page to Altavista to be spidered ? I've found that Scooter spiders only the pages I've submitted. During the last year I've been never spidered. Is ok to start submitting invididual pages (on a daily basis) ?

My answer would be yes. See DrBill's recent post on limits [webmasterworld.com]. You're not using javascript to generate the nav menu, are you? Spiders will not follow js.

If it's a moderate- to large-size site, consider setting up some third-level domains and submitting those.
