Pay To Submit - Re-Indexed Updated URL in 48 hours

Well to update everyone here. We tweaked our pages a bit for our "home equity loan" test keywords. They were spidered on 11/07/00, and updated this morning....

So, everything that has been touted by Inktomi/PT on the service, has held true to form.. So far.....

By the way, we did move upward... :)

The one URL, we left alone, stayed in it's exact same position. The two that were buried past position 50, had upward movement of over 20 positions, and for "home improvement loan", we moved from 12/13/14 to 8/8/9 on iWon/AOL/Hotbot....

Time to continue tweaking the pages... :)

Were these standard pages or doorways?

Didn't know there was such a thing as a "standard page" in this day and age? :)

These pages are specifically designed for Inktomi.

That is correct. It get's crawled along with the others, every 24 hours...

Well I'm glad it's working for someone! We are STILL waiting for our submitted site (11/03) to be indexed. They've dropped the ball a few times and when contacted said it would be taken care of but the fact remains that my site that has paid for twice according to my bank is still sitting there waiting for the index to actually occur. I'll keep ya posted.

Saw your posts, and sorry for your confusion... Your still weeks ahead of the rest, so try and be patient, know it's hard sometimes..

And I always thought, if it could go wrong, it could only happen to me? :)

We're waiting for our 2nd update since we've started tuning... Here's to upward mobility!

Now here's something that I don't quite understand yet. I know that the pages included in the new program get updated every 48 hours, but I assume that that's in Ink. Do all the Ink partners pull immediately from the database, or is there some sort of refresh time for them....depending on the partner? To clarify a little:
I tweak a page and within 48 hours its updated in Ink. Do I have to wait for MSN to update their's or do the updated results show up right away?

I think (I repeat "think") it's as they pull the data. Remember the data for each INK partner may be a little to a lot different - results in one may be much better than another - prime targets being AOL and MSN...

on the subject of AOL, in the good old days of free subission, before the big drop of 27 june, I never had much trouble getting into AOL, but so far AOL is the only ink partner not to have picked up on my pages, has anyone yet who has gone down the paid route got anything new into AOL.

Also is there now realy any point in submitting to ink through the old partners only to get them burried.

All of the pages I have paid for have managed to get into AOL, trouble is trying to get them anywhere near the top. I've been looking on Freeserve (where they show the date of refreshed pages) under some of the more competitive keywords and nobody seems to be getting their new pages in at the top yet.

of the 3 pages I submitted 2 are in freeserve both at number 2 both showing date 6/11.

don't realy know whats happening to the other, I'l have to dig around

Welcome to the INK forum of WmW. Not sure the dates are dependable. Have the pages you're talking about been in the INK database before?
