Patents come and patents go,
what will be next we do not know,
an update here, and update there,
our site will be we don't know where.
The blogs have come and are to stay,
good or bad we cannot say,
many fear they will but get worse,
unless a blog is not, of course.
While some play in sand and others in hoo,
some would rather not say boo.
Yet there are some who are fearless not,
and say "You're not Welcome" to the bot.
A button here, a button there, not yet pushed,
for to swamp the listings, we'll not be bushed.
For we have money to earn, and banks to fill,
'cos we are certainly not run of the mill.
What will be next we do not know,
which direction we will go.
But with brains in our heads, and fingers to keys,
It is but for us to know.

On a somewhat more personal note, sadly 2005 saw the passing of two close family relatives bringing to the fore memories and thoughts of family and the home land. Also a renewed fervor on my part to keep family traditions alive. Because family is everything, be it personal, or an extended community such as we have here. I am sure I am not alone in counting amongst my closest friends people I converse with on a daily basis and yet have not met in person.
So if ever you hear something perhaps resembling a far cry from a wounded haggis, fear not, it is but me trying to coax some meaningful sounds from something visually resembling a very wounded haggis.
And on that note, I will finish by saying "In 2006, Lang May Your Lum Reek."

I'm in no state to post much more, but I look forward to another great year on the web with you guys. Have a good one!
MSN's new search engine launches (jan).
Yahoo! launches new ranking technlology (MLR / summer).
Google confirms that 2006 will be the year of the portal by signing AOL & agreeing to display their banners on google.com...
Unreal. The business end of things is looking great for 2006, and I can't wait to see how it continues to evolve.
Best wishes to all, and Happy New Year, to old friends & new.
~~ A New Year Quote From Ann Landers ~~
Let this coming year be better than all the others.
Vow to do some of the things you've always wanted to do but couldn't find the time. Call up a forgotten friend. Drop an old grudge, and replace it with some pleasant memories. Vow not to make a promise you don't think you can keep. Walk tall, and smile more. You'll look ten years younger. Don't be afraid to say, 'I love you'. Say it again. They are the sweetest words in the world.
Google on top still when year ends
MSN and Yahoo joining hands in more than one ways to defeat Google.
Yahoo publisher / MSN Adcentre launched worldwide.
Myself getting at least 3x pageviews of what I get right now (possibly 3x+ sales / adverts)
Luck playing an important part this year , more so than skills or spirituality / humanity. (Difficult to understand) ( 2006 is a number 8 year - 2005 was a number 7 year which was more spiritual number)
People who have a tough time this year will emerge stronger in the long run.
Anything else folks!
For me personally the most exciting event in 2005 was that I unexpectedly fell in love with someone that I met in a large Internet community and who lives almost exactly as far away from me as possible. Opposite season, opposite time zone and for the last 10 and the next 2 hours another year than mine.
My guess would be that only a limited number of members have experienced something like that, but that most of you would agree that the Internet has opened some hitherto undiscovered aspects of life.
2006 promises to be interesting.
Wishing all a healthy, terror free, and prosperous 2006.
