Well, what a year.

Patents come and patents go,
what will be next we do not know,
an update here, and update there,
our site will be we don't know where.

The blogs have come and are to stay,
good or bad we cannot say,
many fear they will but get worse,
unless a blog is not, of course.

While some play in sand and others in hoo,
some would rather not say boo.
Yet there are some who are fearless not,
and say "You're not Welcome" to the bot.

A button here, a button there, not yet pushed,
for to swamp the listings, we'll not be bushed.
For we have money to earn, and banks to fill,
'cos we are certainly not run of the mill.

What will be next we do not know,
which direction we will go.
But with brains in our heads, and fingers to keys,
It is but for us to know.

(With apolgies to the good Dr Seuss.)

On a somewhat more personal note, sadly 2005 saw the passing of two close family relatives bringing to the fore memories and thoughts of family and the home land. Also a renewed fervor on my part to keep family traditions alive. Because family is everything, be it personal, or an extended community such as we have here. I am sure I am not alone in counting amongst my closest friends people I converse with on a daily basis and yet have not met in person.

So if ever you hear something perhaps resembling a far cry from a wounded haggis, fear not, it is but me trying to coax some meaningful sounds from something visually resembling a very wounded haggis.

And on that note, I will finish by saying "In 2006, Lang May Your Lum Reek."

Happy New Year Y'all from Lower Alabama (the other LA),
the land of hurricanes and shrimp and cold beer.

Thanks to everyone for all I learn here cause there is nobody 'round here to talk to about this stuff.

Best wishes for 2006!

Three more hours to go here in the New York area. Thirty more minutes of writing, then I'm done for the year!

Much Success to all in 2006!

As I post, the magic midnight has passed in Scotland. The new year has arrived, goodbye to 2005 in with 2006.

Perhaps it's time to have a look back and think what we have acheived in the past 12 months, and perhaps set some targets for the next year.

Tonight I will only worry about the importaint things, tonight I dont care about my sites, I dont care if Googlebot comes or not, I don't even care about my CTR. As far as I am concerned, tonight is about me and my family. The rest I can live without.

Time for a toast.... To all WebmasterWorld members across the world, this one's for you.

CHEERS!

Mack.

Happy New Years everyone from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We've only got 4 hours, 38 minutes to go! May you all have a healthy and prosperous New Year. For me? New location, new house and another new baby in 2006..woohoo! :)

Greetings from Boston, MA, where 2006 is less than 2 hours away.

May we each uncover at least one solid, new approach to our area in the coming year -- something that brings us new enthusiasm and energy (and even income!)

Happy New Year (almost) from soggy Sacramento, CA (where we started the last day of the old year with a massive rainstorm storm and will likely start the first day of the new one with more resulting flooding!).

Hopefully a sign of abundance to come in '06.

It's now less than an hour away from midnight in Québec. 2005 was a year of change for me: new job, new pastimes, new outlook, new priorities, times of stress, times of trauma, but also many times of joy. For 2006 I am hoping for new successes with new ventures, for more stability, but who can really tell what the future might bring?

My very best wishes to all WebmasterWorlders around the world, and I hope that 2006 will bring you peace, happiness and prosperity.

Bonne année à toutes et à tous!

Happy New Year from Munich, Germany!

I just came home from a fabulous night out with some of the best fireworks I've ever seen. Going out with some off-line friends is really an experience on its own. I tend to focus on work and new deals but having some friends that don't know anything about what you're doing is at least as nice. Spend some time with your friends at home and all the best to all of you in 2006! May the rankings be with you!

Crossed midnight thirty minutes ago in Indiana - happy new year, all!

(At least I think it was 30 minutes ago - in Indiana, we are never sure what time it is. Thank goodness Windows gives us our own time zone! :))

Thanks to all on WebmasterWorld and the whole communitiy who have helped each other over the past year. I've learned a lot, I hope I've helped a little.
