There is no direct translation, it is not in the dictionary, but here is a description I've just made up:
Person without style or grace, tasteless, ignorant, usually from popular social classes, poor or both, but not a requisit. It could be any race or gender.
Based on this, what is your one-word adjective equivalent in english?
:)
Thanks for the comments, somehow they partially cover the word I'm looking. The thing I can't find the one exact. It seems there isn't.
The other day I saw someone talking about how does a graphical user counter looks on a page, and he/she used an adjective which I can't recall what it is, but that one seemed to be the closer until now when I found the translation. The bad thing is I can't remember the word nor find the post.
"popular social classes"
May be a poor translation from spanish to english, but that's a "polite" way to refer to marginal or economically poor people (in Mexico).
<added>Yokel? I have never heard this, and I have no idea what it means, but i AM going to use it today... before I go home... lol</added>

To make it easier, take a look at this link :

The girl in a picture is a mexican comediant who calls herself "nacaranda" (just an invented female name with the word "naco(a)" on it).
In her personification, she spokes with the highest mexican slang, she lives in a poor neighbourghood and has a humble job.
Now, what's a "naco" in english?
The more languages one learns the more one realises the restrictions on ones thinking that just one or two languages impose..sort of like only seeing half a rainbow ...or even less .. just wish that in all schools in all countries that the majority of those who taught "foreign" languages didn't make it so mindnumbingly uninteresting for most of their students ...."mindnumbingly" was being polite ;)
BTW as "slang" also changes from generation to generation and area etc my examples may not give the same mileage as those of a 10 year old girl from Peckham or 6 year old boy from Marseille ..et alors!
BTW (II)..also depends on whose English or French etc etc you want ..UK , Irish , USA, Indian , OZ etc ..or Metro , Quebec, Canuck, Buerrette , Mali ....?
