I just ate the most incredible dish at lunch today: Chicken and Waffles

The chicken is a fried chicken breast. The waffle is a large waffle. You butter the waffle, then spread hot sauce liberally on the chicken. Then you place the chicken on top of the waffle.

Then, you pour syrup over the whole thing, and enjoy. Make sure you always take a piece of chicken in with a piece of waffle.

It was delicious. Best meal in a long time.

This wasn't at a health-food restaurant, was it?

What was dessert? An ice cream sunday with meatloaf sprinkles?

"Roscoe's the name,
And they call me the king.
Grand Master of the
Chicken and the waffle thing.
I said now read my lips
And friends, don't miss a word,
'Cuz the Grand Master's gonna
Give you the bird."

- the jingle from the commercial they filmed 'on spec' in the movie Tapeheads [homepage.ntlworld.com], with John Cusack and Tim Robbins

Why I remembered this so accurately I have no idea. I can't remember where I *live* sometimes, yet stuff like this sticks in my brain like glue.
