Ok, I've been using a computer for years, but I'm only now becoming conscious of the incessant clicking noises of my keyboard and mouse. It's beginning to annoy me considering the room I work in is dead quiet. I don't know why this annoyance is starting now. This reminds me of my "blinking" faze that took me months to get over 10 years ago. There has to be some manufacturer somewhere in the world that has created a keyboard and mouse with some sort of rubber "padding" system to lessen the decibel output.

Arrgh Now that you have pointed out clicking noises from my mouse I can't stop thinking about the sound.

The mouse that clicked never bothered me before looks like I have found a new pet hate (sorry for the pun "mouse" "pet hate") :)

You must have a very quite PC with no fan noises if your room is silent unless your using a laptop.

As for keyboards not clicking I think i remember the good old Spectrum with soft keys which was like a remote control for the tv. :)

Unfortunately, I don't think spectrum keyboards are sold anymore; either they went out of business or changed their name.

Oh well. I tried.

I tend to agree ... realy couldn't find any noiseless mouse ...

btw, what about a wacom pen? It's pretty quiet but you have to train a bit.

wacom pen? I'd like to have one, but I'd sooner jam cotten and peanut butter in my ears than pay $300 for a souped up Sharpie.

I give up for now, but I plan to revisit this topic in 2009.
