It's one of those games you just don't want to end. It's almost like a very well made and written movie where you play the leading roll.
Set in the 1930's with acurate car modeling and sound effects coupled with excelent artificial intelegence engine and awsome graphics. Great game that currently has me hooked.

I've not really played many games sice I had my ZX Spectrum back in about 1984. On that I loved Manic Miner and Daley Thompsons Decathlon.
"jetpac - 48k speccy ****" - oh yeah I liked that one too!
The only game i've played recently was Age of Empires which got rather addictive.
I wish I could find a version of it still....

My vote goes to any of the doom/quake family. Playing way too much Quake 3 recently ;)

Jet Set Willy and Jet Pac are my old rubber key spectrum favourites.
All this speccy talk reminded me an old not very good joke:

The level of tone & volume precision required to get a Speccy game to load was beyond belief - how we managed to get it right as kids defies belief!

Hitman 2 - Visit exotic lands, meet interesting people... and k** them.
The interesting thing about H2 is that you're discouraged from whacking anybody but the target. But there are always guards and soldiers getting in the way.
Interestingly, all on the SNES.
Xenon 2 and Turrican on the Sega Megadrive were pretty great, too.
stavs: I remember playing Frontier: Elite II on my amiga 600, but by god it was baffling. I think I was in hyperspace for ten minutes, looking for anything that would clue me the hell up.

Herzog Zwei on the Genesis was pretty cool, too? I believe it was the first Command-and-Conquer-style "real-time strategy" game. I still have a copy.
For party games, nothing beats Bomberman on the SNES.
But Quake I & II have got to be my favorites.
Now there was a game I played constantly!
Quality stuff.

I wonder why they say the CD won't run on WindowsXP (which, of course, is what I have now).
If anyone likes to use more brain power than fire power when playing computer games, I highly recommend this.

Damn, if i'd have known that you use xp now, i' wouldn't have done the research to find the download (seriously joking).
