It's one of those games you just don't want to end. It's almost like a very well made and written movie where you play the leading roll.
Set in the 1930's with acurate car modeling and sound effects coupled with excelent artificial intelegence engine and awsome graphics. Great game that currently has me hooked.

Mack.
That was a great game. Street fighter and Tony hawk were great also. Warcraft and Diablo were also favs on the computer.
I was also addicted to Bass Fishing on the dreamcast. I got it as a joke gift from a friend then got totally absorbed in it.
My favorite old classic was river raid. I would play that forever.

<added>good news for ya here [gamespot.com], or?!</added>
More recently, Black and White had me hooked, IIS Pro Evo soccer is still the best footy game imho and Un real Tournament is the best FPS when all your mates are around for a gaming sesh!
Errm, others that spring to mind are Civilisation (just how many hours of my childhood did I lose to this game?!), The Championship Manager series (how many hours of my adult life have I lost to this game!?) and very recently Micros0ft's 'Rise of Nations' game has given me lots of pleasure.
Ive been away for a while, and thought it best to ease myself back into WebmasterWorld gently. How better else than to start in a gaming foo thread :)
Hehe. Good to be back.

Civilization was awesome.
And any of the Infocom text adventures, especially the Zorks (back when imagination, not twitchy reactions, still had a part in video games).
And now I'm remembering X-com:UFO Defense. I had a lot of fun with that one!

Zombies Ate My Neighbors - I would kill for someone to remake that for either computer or XBox/PS2/GameCube. I loved that game.
No need to kill!
Just download a SNES emulator for the PC here:-

And the Zombies Ate My Neighbours ROM binary here:-
