Larry Tesler, 74, perhaps most appreciated if not best known as creator/inventor of copy/cut and paste as well as find/search and replace while at Xerox PARC, that veritable Eden of personal computing, foremost advocate of modeless computing, has died.
Note: he also was Chief Scientist at Apple, VP Shopping Experience at Amazon, Head UX at Yahoo...
As is my personality, if I ever hear somebody say something's impossible or extremely difficult, almost impossible, it's a challenge and I always try to do it.
Personal Note: we never met though corresponded occasionally over 2-decades (late 80’s - late 00’s); surprisingly accessible, kind, and generous with advice even influence.
One of the greats of our industry and a truly impressive person.
