Arrghh!

The threads with my posts in them have dropped 5 places. Those threads at the top are serious spamns with only one post. Now I'm going OK of course but i have looked in other forums too and they are JUST AS BAD! I love WebmasterWorld but something is seriously wrong here... even **** chat forum and Webmaster *** chat is better. I think i will use them now. However when i check WebmasterWorld im my toolbar with the DNS thingo working ok i get COMPLETELY DIFFERENT RESULTS. And i cant find the bloody Cache <frown>

And come to think of it, where is WebmasterWorldguy? I think WebmasterWorld is broken and Brett is running for cover.

If things continue as they are when the index transfers over im gonna jump off a ledge. Ive got 5 babes to support and WebmasterWorld is breaking me financially.

I'm gonna have to give up this game and go back to having a REAL job.

I should not really admit this, but there is a great way to increase your post count by whatever figure you want to set it to.

The post counter is easily hacked, some guy called Brett_Tabke put me wise to it. He has clocked his post count up to 11,300 using this blinding simple hack.

A sticky to him and a PenPal donation of $150 and he tells you how to clock you own post count

Chiyo, your problem is that you are leaking Thread Rank -- you've posted URLs for webmaster reources that you are not affiliated with.

You can fix this in the future by hoarding your own Thread Rank and refusing to share your resources with anyone.

instead it will be per word posted – Shak

Oh for goodness sakes, now I’m going to be charged per word. I thought I was finally going to get credit per word. Takagi said so in post #25. So either I go into withdrawal or start saving my pennies what is it?

you guys hear about that recent hazing incident outside of chicago. You know, the one where the seniors hazed the juniors and there is speculation that parents bought the beer.

mods buy the beer, seniors haze, juniors get wacked, whilst everyone else just watches with much interest.

so goes this thread...

funny Chiyo, until someone's feelings get hurt;) junior lol

Personally I think it is a conspiracy! Google screws up the update and Brett gets paid by GG to screw up the dates on WW so no one can find any threads indicating what might really be happening.

All of above is of course meant in jest;)

Scary to think so many people actually care about this stuff though, let alone pay their bills by it!

If I sign my name at the bottom of every post, will I get banned for duplicate content?

Should I try to give a 20% difference on each signing, will that help!?!

Signing your name should be no problem, unless you link it to other posts. In that case, all of your posts might be banned.

BTW, just found out how to know if the WebmasterWorld dance has started. Do a search for link: googleguy on the different indexes. If you get different numbers of found documents, it has started.

Now, some might say this is getting silly, but I reckon there's some sort of 'spiracy here ... do you guys realise that webmasterworld is, in fact, an anagram of ...

Sorry mat, but you're wrong. If fact, WebmasterWorld is a place where anarchists and terrorists hide. It is an anagram for:

This is driving me MAD. If this thread drops off the 'recent posts' list im finished!

How am I supposed to feed my kids? Brett I will personally blame you if I end up living on the streets searching through trash to see whats for dinner for my family!

Why cant you just tell me your algo for the threads? and/or manually put my threads at the top?

Its actually an anagram for Brett's new anti virus company, "Worms Beware Ltd." ;) Shhhh. Its a secret! He's had it on the back burner for years!

Why is it not possible to start a thread about this forum without the usual 'WebmasterWorld bashing'. Please remember that Metas/editalls/moderators (or whatever they are called) are just volunteers.

I know there were some problems (system down, system clock wrong), but it seems that new hardware is ordered. There is only one part-time programmer (Brett Tabke) to test and install it, so it might take a few weeks until everything is OK.

The real problem with this WW is that Google in the person of GoogleGuy gives it too much status. Who would care about WW, if GoogleGuy wasn't answering here. Maybe Google should just buy it.

Boy, the subtlety here is getting down to sub-molecular level. Nice NewHoo nod there, I nearly had you wrong.
And it's months, not weeks.

takagi, I think you will find that as this thread is posted in Foo, there is a great deal of tongue in cheek, good natured (as opposed to 'WebmasterWorld bashing') leg pulling going on.

It has the ring of a Google thread to do with updates ... don't ya think? ;)

Who would care about WW, if GoogleGuy wasn't answering here. Maybe Google should just buy it.

Well ... many of us here did (and still do) care long before GG came on the scene! :) Just check the dates members signed up.

But as mat said, very subtle.

Please remember that Metas/editalls/moderators (or whatever they are called) are just volunteers.

So it seems they don't have enough mods. In this case they should make it easier to become one. I mean, ok, submitting 3 new good threads is not difficult, the problem is if you apply to become a mod, you never get an answer (and forget about being accepted).

I can understand that they are afraid of people applying just to get their threads in the top positions but heck, there are enough of those already in place (won't name anyone though).
