Arrghh!

The threads with my posts in them have dropped 5 places. Those threads at the top are serious spamns with only one post. Now I'm going OK of course but i have looked in other forums too and they are JUST AS BAD! I love WebmasterWorld but something is seriously wrong here... even **** chat forum and Webmaster *** chat is better. I think i will use them now. However when i check WebmasterWorld im my toolbar with the DNS thingo working ok i get COMPLETELY DIFFERENT RESULTS. And i cant find the bloody Cache <frown>

And come to think of it, where is WebmasterWorldguy? I think WebmasterWorld is broken and Brett is running for cover.

If things continue as they are when the index transfers over im gonna jump off a ledge. Ive got 5 babes to support and WebmasterWorld is breaking me financially.

I'm gonna have to give up this game and go back to having a REAL job.

You know Macguru, everyone always talks about corruption but no one ever offers any proof. With all the people talking about corruption you'd think that someone would offer some evidence.

If you really think it's that easy to bribe an admin maybe you should visit the resourcezone forum and point out the corruption to <snip>.

Of course. You told people to go somewhere else! Away from a thread in this forum. Now who is a mod of this forum and of course wants this thread to stay top? Yep, you got it...

New book titled:

The www Spammers Digest
by: "Lester W. Warm Bod" (name changed to protect the guilty)

Synopsis: This New York Times bestseller outlines "how to build 2000 successful sites in 12 months". It follows the teachings of multi billionaire and internet guru, "Bette T. Krab", noted webmaster with more than 6000 sites selling widgets, viagara, singles dating services and search engine submission services since 2002.

Bette T. Krab and Lester W. Warm Bod are co-founders of a popular internet forum which is not named in the book as the url changes weekly.

Oh bummer bummer bummer, I just noticed this!

Is it just me, or does everyone's Nic in this thread show up in a grey bar? Am I banned for life, or is there hope?

I swear, I dinna hide any skin commands or anything. I just come by and read and post, nuthin' wrong with that is there? Oh, I have used sticky mail before, but never to excess. I'm so pure that virgins feel guilty if they even walk near me, honest!

I'm off to check my Nic in the other threads, hopefully I'm not grey barred there and this is just an unfortunate hiccup that will self correct.

If I do have some ban or penalty though, can I overcome it by posting every day or every other day. Do we have anything like freshy here? or will I need to adjust my plan and start to pay for inclusion by joining the supporter's section?

Please help, Webmasterworld forums account for a good 75% of my online post reads and I just can't lose that!

Isn't that the book that El Gogo, Jake Vesse and Bathe Well Fats want to ban from selling?

Don't know about you, but it seems this thread has been banned from the active ranking, although it still is in the foo index.

<edit>Now it's back in active ranking. They are trying to make me look like I'm mad, but I know THEM. Beware of THEM! The truth is out there!</edit>

It's that time again!

Foo-sj shows 81 posts
Foo-fi shows 191 posts

Hopefully my racially motivated posts that were banned last month will show up in the new Foo index!

Brent

chiyo,
my suggestion, check your logs for TabkeBot.

I don't know if it's been crawling much recently, maybe from a bar or two after a pubcon night though ;)

until it gets unfairly banned by some corrupt moderator or by some half baked spam filter :(

Oh sure, I point to a resource for eliminating corruption and it gets edited by MacGuru, God, and Brett.

The truth remains, contiuously adding content will bring your site, (and WebmasterWorld threads) to the top. ;)

Well I find the best method for ranking well is to keep adding fresh content to your posts.

[added]

That way you will rank above the competition.

[added]

You might also want to link out to the top threads on your topic from your thread index page.

[added]

You might also want to try a few common spelling errors for your keywords and hope to cash in on peoples mistakes.

[added]

Thatt whay peeple mite finnd yoor poost eesier.

[added]

try stuffing some keywords at the bottom of your post. That oftem fools the algo.

Mack.

website, typos, fresh content, webmasterworld optimisation, cars, mp3, women,

Is that the right pecking order? So does it rank from highest to lowest or the opposite?

Sinner_G - jeez man, yew gotta remember that one deity going down in the ranks means that another goes up - you may not like them results, but it's the followers that matter - as long as they're getting served up some worshipful figurehead then the WW algo's working.

Stop whining and work on your fanbase.

WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

Use invisible links to homepage in your profile (see mine).

Use almost hidden links to authority sites at the top of your post.

Forget the almost hidden text, it never works.

For some time I have been running a series of experiments to try and crack the WebmasterWorld algo. I have toiled away since I first joined by posting different types of questions in on a range of topics. I considered the influence of theme on the whole equation by deliberately posting topics in the wrong forum.

Here are a 2 things that I KNOW to be fact despite what any of you think, even you Mr WebmasterWorld!

1.Themes do count. A post in the Google Forum about fishing will not be looked upon favourably by the establishment and at best will result in a drop in position to somewhere called FOO (equivalent to SERP page 25!). At worst it will be removed and a process, as I like to call it “Getting A Serious Sticky (GASS)” will occur. Being GASSed can be a nerve wracking experience for a newcomer, with time they get easier. My advice: find the appropriate forum.

2.After careful consideration I believe that the age of a post has a serious influence on is position, within the context of the Active Threads. Once in a particular thread your post should stay active and remain in its current position. That said I have seen on a number of occasions “manual editing” much like what apparently happens on the lesser known website called Google. In addition to editing there have been many reports of time discrepancies. I like to call these FART’s (False Accuracy Regarding Timestamp) and although weird they can be compared to a lunar eclipse, a marvellous spectacle, very rare but essentially harmless.

Now if you disagree with any of the above I don’t care as I am right!

I will return one day with some more marvels of the WebmasterWorld algo. I intend to crack it my friends! Wish me luck.

WebmasterWorldGuy

Can you help me please, several of my posts have been deleted from WebmasterWorld without any warning.

I assure you they have contained no spam, redirects, self promoting. Like most of the posters in this thread, my posts have been as pure as the driven snow

I have tried different colours in my posts
I have tried different colours in my posts
I have tried different colours in my posts

but have been unable to find anything that will fool WebbleBot

If anyone can do complete posts with white on white, for heavens sake sticky me now (I warn you, I will not be fooled by a blank post)

Hello Everybody,

I'm new here. I came online to buy some blue widgets for my eight-year-old daughter and stumbled on this site.

You seem like a knowledgeable and friendly bunch of folks, so I have a question. Can someone please tell me how ranking works? A detailed answer would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Bjorn
