It's hellishly hot here in my part of the U.S, with no relief in the forecast. Just going outside to water a few pots leaves me drenched in sweat. And we're not even to July yet.
On the other hand, last winter was the mildest I can remember. If that keeps up, it'll be the good side of global warming
For years I've seen reports about the earth as a whole setting new records for average high temperture over a year. Some predict that the melting icebergs will raise the ocean level and flood a lot of cities.
But right now I'm just hoping that we can get some rain here before the grass dies.
