Thankfuly I live on top of a hill, so I can just sit and warch the long lines of frustrated motorists.
Wonder if Blockbuster will wave my late fee lol.
Mack.
Looking out of the window now, an hour later, it is chucking it down again. :(
People might moan about being stuck in a jam, but they should be thankful there not the reason for it!
BDW I recon our weather systems must only be a few mins apart. (I'm just over the river Clyde) and right now its chucking it down.

Of course, it's too late to fit it in the Queen's Speech but he could make it a manifesto commitment for the election. It's a clear vote winner because there's no way those uncaring Conservatives will go along with it - after all they believe that governments should not interfere with such things.

I sort of liked it like that... it's romantic...
We've been lucky, just lots of rain, no flooding.
It seems to me that the rain is getting more regional and heavier, too, when it falls.
I live very close to where two rivers meet, and we often see them just on the point of breaking their banks. When they did break their banks, not so long ago, our house was about three foot above the flood. Others were not so lucky. Even so, we were cut off to all but a land rover or a boat. As I don't possess either, I had a day at home helping the unfortunate neighbours.
Good luck with the late fee, Mack!

Things are really bad in SW Scotland and NE England. Fortunately I live about thirty or forty feet above the normal level of the local river. If we ever get flooded here that would be a really major disaster.
