Crossword clue:

Dials Domino's, e.g. (9 letters)

The answer was 'ordersout'.

Is there a right, wrong, or preference?

Am I ordering in? Or am I ordering out? Is there a difference?

Exact match search for "order in" - 37,000,000 results.

Exact match search for "order out" - 1,090,000 results.

Of course, the results don't account for usage of exact matches, just the total number.

To everyone that doesn't cook, eat right from the box, or go out: Do you 'order in' or do you 'order out'?

Hmmm. Answer quick. If you think about, you'll get it wrong.

Order out. (Which means the crossword is wrong, because I'm most always out of sync.)

If the crossword was wrong, then the other words would not fit. I order in and take out.

I always pick up Domino's, because it's faster, and a short drive. But from Papa John's, I get delivery, because I don't know where it is. :)

As for the original question, I don't really use either expression, but I wouldn't say "order in", so I'd have to go with order out.

... and why do we park in driveways and drive in parkways?

TOS #14 (...and decent), though I have no problem it, and enjoy it very much, possibly includes the next one that I thought of. LOL
.....................

I've decided that either 'order in' or order out' is okay and can be used interchangeably. I am ordering out to someone to bring me dinner. I am ordering a dinner to be brought in. Wonder if there is a regional difference? I use both expressions. Take-out is when I go get it and bring it home.

Are the 'take away' references from England, Europe, or both? If USA, then extremely regional.
