What's the longest running or longest forum thread you've seen?

The oldest but still current that I've seen was started in August 2002. Almost 25,000 posts in it and still active. It's a game thread.

It was started on May 22 2005 and appears to be a private thread for Everton supporters to talk about their club.

It is upto 44966 now and still growing at this time of night (they have a big game this weekend) !

The monthly Google thread, which has Part 1, Part 2, ad infinitum for every month, and will never end. It will continue on into infinity, with hundreds of posts each month.

no time at all! the forum as a whole has up to 10,000 people logged on at any one time, with 250,000 members registered, and about 100,000 of those active, there are over 7000 seperate forum areas to subscribe to, and around 30,000 posts per day (as of 2 months ago, the forum has grown somewhat since then) some stats from 6 months ago;

157,000 (78,507 active in the last 2 weeks)
Number of posts to date: 5.65 million
Number of posts per day: 30,000
Number of countries represented:143
Number of project photos:2 million

It's a mega forum :)

oh I forgot, the forum automatically takes you to the last post you read, so you don't need to remember where you were up to, and you can reply directly to specific posts so you are notified if someone replies to you in the thread, meaning when you don't log in for a couple of days you don't need to go back and re-read everything to catch up on where the thread is up to.
