First of all, I am the type who usually likes to solve my own problems. But I'm stuck...maybe someone on this board can help me. I hope so, my search terms aren't working.

On to the problem. I host small sites from home with a really nice DSL connection and static IP. I did it all myself with Fedora Core so I am reasonably proficient. Someone on this board helped me with the virtual server and I'm still thankful.

My uncle wanted a flashy site for his small business. Since the hits would be less than 5 a week, I decided to get a template, edit it, and host it myself for him. When I put the files in the www folder it works on my machine but not when I view the site on the internet.

This is what is displayed: This page is used to test the proper operation of the Apache HTTP server after it has been installed. If you can read this page, it means that the Apache HTTP server installed at this site is working properly.

I made sure application/x-shockwave-flash swf
was part of the mime.types file. I've read through many google searches but I've had no luck.

I was going to write the search terms I've tried but I think this post is getting long enough. I appreciate any help I could get. The flash template does work on my computer...just not over the network.

My wild guess is your index.html is the default message that says Apache is working.
