It is one of the first and simplest Flash actions, just check your help files again.

Basically you have your start position, insert a keyframe further down the timeline, move the text to the end position and tween in be'tween'

still sounds hard.

what ia want is to create a box of 300px wide, but the text line i want to move is about 400px wide. I want it to say:
fall asleep in bed and you will wake up - fall asleep behing the wheel and you may not...

still unsure how i get it to appear starting with the first letter from the right, and ending with the last letter on the left.

any more help welcome

cheers

Mate! you're not listening .. it really is that simple ..

You have frame 1, type your sentence out, position it far right ( off the stage) on your timeline at about 100 insert KeyFrame, now position your sentence far left ( off stage ).. right click on timeline between these 2 frames and tween ...

search your help files, there is all the info you need there, including tuts ...

Done it at last....is there a way to make the flow smoother and not so jerkey?

make the tween longer and bump up your FPS to say 24. (which is what the humay eye sees at)

there is a slider which allows you to ease the motion in or out, experiment with that.
