I am wondering what kind of options there are out there for learning flash. does anyone have any good suggestions? I live far in the country so online solutions would be good. any recommendations? thanks.

Hey,

I'd use the numerous tutorials online - search for 'flash tutorials' in google.

Some that came up in the search that may be useful:

www.echoecho.com/flash.htm
www.w3schools.com/flash/default.asp
www.kirupa.com/

Otherwise you could always buy a book with CD examples..... or something like 'flash for dummies' - I find the 'for dummies' series of books really easy to follow

:)

It doesn't work for everyone but I needed to use it, so I set myself and project and basically managed to cobble it together by simply messing around, looking up techniques on various websites and asking questions on a few forums. I find actually doing something the best way to learn.
Try something like an animated banner ad or something to start, it will teach you a lot of the fundimantals of flash.
