I made a swf presentation (movie area = 1027 x 768px) last week. I tried to display the same through a popup window in our website. But the problem I am facing is its quality is worsening if someone tries to view it in a 800 x 600px display monitor. I need two help :

1. How can I make it resolution independent.
2. How shall I test it so that I can ensure that its quality remains same in all resolutions.

(Most of our targeted customers use 1024 x 768px resolution screen. But I want to ensure that the quality remains same throughout.)

Can anybody please help me out ..

Best regards,

Is your presentation related to the demo you discussed in the other thread? If so, screeshots in your presentation would be in bitmap format and thus become less clear as they are shrunk from their original size.

If the material is all in vector format, there shouldn't be too many display problems.

Yeah it is Harry. And because of the bitmaps the display problems are arising.

I have visited some sites to see how their presentation looks like in all the resolutions and I find them pretty well (though they are not using popups). For example [tutorials.50webs.com...] What shall I do to make my presentation look like them? I think they use softwares like 'camtasia'. I tried that too but this particular software captures all the screenshots and hence my file size got doubled!

use vectors its the only way to get resolution independence. However maybe you should consider simply reducing the size of your flash movie? It will run faster and download quicker if is smaller, plus you wont get the 800 x 600 problem.

Since I have to use screen shots in my flash movie I cannot reduce it much as the screen shots wont be clear enough and since its a demonstration for my visitors, clarity of the movie is my highest priority. I have optimized the movie as much as I can. Can you please tell me how shall I use vectors to make my movie resolution independent?
