Hi,

i've got a requirement to 'fade in' a gif image followed in turn by 3/4 blocks of text.

i've down this in paintshop pro but the quality isn't very good and there are other limitations too, such as i couldn't create a square text block or mix the fonts in paintshop pro so i cut and pasted it from word but the graphic quality not good enough.

<snip>No URLs please! See TOS [webmasterworld.com]</snip>

is it possible to do this in flash 5?

i only really know the basics about graphic manipulation (size against quality) so any advice would be great.

also the original gif file someone has given me to do this is massive and when i resize it (in paintshop) the quality deteriates again - any help on this too? i'm not sure at the mo if i can get him to do another gif but smaller and he wants the quality exactly like it prints out in word!

is using actionscript the best option - if so how do you do that then?

This is a ;ot of questions rather than one. You really need to learn flash a bit then you will realise its possible and relatively trivial.

You can use actionscript but timeline tweening will do this and is easier to learn as a new user.

On the image side sav it as a .png file flash imports these well and compresses them for you.

Timeline tweening: have a look at the tutorials that are built into Flash or have a lookaround flashkit or the Macromedia developer centre.
