Some problems in using Flash MX2004 loadVariables

Hello,

I prepared some swf files that will load some texts from external file by using the "loadVariables" function. I have some problems:

1. When I use other languages (e.g. Chinese Big 5) in the text file, the texts in the swf file will appears in strange code. I tried to change the meta in header of the html file to Chinese big 5, the situation is still the same. Any suggestions?

2. Is it possible to format the texts from the external text files?

Flash will default to the standard european language set, while it can handle other character sets I don think they can be mixed within the same movie. Its as much a player issue as it is a compiling the movie.

Have you tried seaching macromedia?
