Hello,

No webmaster / publisher should ignore that Flash will be definitively disabled, still I am unsure of this assumption, because I see a lot of sites, which still rely on Flash. By relying, I mean, that, if Flash is disabled, the functionalities of these sites are not working.

I am surprised, because, all browsers are warming about, then since some times you have to manually enable Flash, ...

Or may be they are awaiting the last second.

It's official: Adobe to kill Flash Player, end support by 2020

Thanks for the reminder.
I wonder if Flash is left on neglected sites.

It's not so much Flash in the web browser I'd be worried about. Lots of education tools still rely on Flash and will stop working as soon as Windows definitively removes support. Apparently it's even embedded in some popular (but not very recent) video games.

A couple of days back, Flash put up its fortnightly You Need To Upgrade alert--forcing me to deal with it right away because they saw fit to throw a popup in front of something I was trying to watch, and interpreted “Remind me later” as “Bother me again in half an hour while I’m still busy”. I dutifully did the install. An hour later * there appeared a fresh popup, warning me that Flash is nearing its End Of Life and should be uninstalled as soon as possible.

Good riddance, I must say.

“Seriously dead”, wasn’t it?

* I didn’t make a note of the time, so this may be an exaggeration. It might really have been 45 minutes.

Flash has been a long time dying ... can't believe HOW long!

Whew!

I got rid of flash twenty (20) years ago, about the same time warnings of Flash malware, security issues, end of life, etc. began circulating.
