Hi everyone:)

I have a few questions that i hope you can answer.

Well...

Q.1. I was going to have a website that has some flash and flash navigation. Will there be any problems with spidering? (I've read that spidering can be a problem with flash navigation.)

Q.2. I've read that i should/could possibly include regular text links on the main page linking the main page with other pagees and back to the main page.
(This supposedly would help with spidering all the pages.)

Q.3. Will this make certain the site is completely spidered.?

Ex. flash navigation on top of pages.

>Home
>Order
>Info
etc.

Bottom of pages with text links for all flash links.

Ex.
><a href="#"widgethome"></a>
>etc.
>etc.

As long as you add normal text links to the HTML pages holding the flash movies, you'll be fine. :)

It really doesn't matter if SE's can or can't read flash files. What's important is you shouldn't depend on them to support your flash navigation. Just add what you know works.

Hi:)
whoisgregg...
Thanks for answering.

Q.1. You said "As long as you add normal text links to the HTML pages holding the flash movies, you'll be fine. :)

Q. So what you mean is i can keep the flash navigation and *add* text links of the flash navigation on the webpages.

Ex.
>Flash nav. top of pages.

>Text links of flash nav. at
bottom of pages.

I just ask again because i'm still learning and not totally sure what you meant by "holding flash movies". I thought the links might be in the flash files. It might be a dumb question, but i don't know how flash works:)

You can use flash navigation links but you should *not* depend on the major search engines following those links. No matter what you do in your flash movies, make sure you have actual HTML links in your pages:
<a href="/somedir/somepage.html">Some Page</a>

Consider the links in your flash movies to not count, although you may occasionally see a spider follow them.
