How does it look so smooth?

i am working on a mini flash movie.

very basic.

i have a logo fade in, and grow.

then fade out.

then a new logo fade in and grow.

when i test the movie... i just looks a bit choppy... like it pixelates a bit ...

what am i doing wrong that i cant make it look so smooth like i see other mini movies or flash aps?

i am importing an Illustrator file... so i know its vector art.... but it still looks choppy...

do i need more frames and a higher FPS?

Are you sure that Flash is maintaining the vectored characteristics, or is it converting it to a bitmap?

If it's maintaining the vectored lines, you should be able to go into wireframe mode (View->Preview Mode->Outlines) and see the vectors, click and edit them using the direct selection tool (white-filled arrow.) If you see a square box in wireframe mode, it's being converted to a graphic.

If I understand you correctly, your hunch is correct. You probably just need to bump up the fps and make your tweens longer.
