Movie symbol to play on mouseover and link

I have been asked to do a small flash project, and having not had much exposure to flash before and having good results here before, thought I would ask for a bit of advice.

I have a background image which needs 3 hotspots in different areas of the image. When you mouse over the designated area I need expanding circles to highlight the area.

So far, I have got the image in the background and created the expanding circles as movie symbols which I have placed over the designated areas. I just need to know how to start the movie symbols playing on mouseover and to have them link to another page when you click.
